About Me
I am a thirty-something with the requisite two dogs and a cat. I am fortunate to have met and married the love of my life and we have a Spawn who is both as amazingly awesome as we are and also as furiously frustrating as we are. All in all, quite the good match for our family unit. My partner is a sailor in the U.S. Navy and, thus, we get to travel quite a bit. My favourite location thus far has been Japan, but I have grown quite fond of the West Coast, particularly the Pacific Northwest.
I have been writing my entire life, with a strong focus on fantasy. The earliest story I can recall working on for a lengthy period of time-- try about two weeks-- was back in middle school. It was a driven, fast-paced story having to do with teleporting cats. One day, they teleported right off the page and that was the end of that. I still prefer writing fantasy stories; my imagination has always loved to go on adventures. I tell myself stories constantly, though now I'm much better at focusing on one so that I might pen it before it, too, disappears. Stolen, perhaps, by those mischievious teleporting cats.
I am now also blessed with some wonderful friends who help me sift chaff away to better focus on those stories worth nourishing. My dears, I am forever in your debt. Continue to push and calm me, please.
By day, and night, and really whenever there's an emergency, I am the site manager for an RP site that has been running for five years. This has been equally exciting and frustrating. As I've taken on more responsibilities for this site, there has been-- if I may say so myself-- a distinct improvement in the overall feeling of the board and the movement of backend procedures. It also brings a need for some distinct troubleshooting skills. Though I do fumble from time to time, the fantastic staff and users there are always supportive to stand up and start moving forward again.
The bottom line is:
I love to write.
It is my passion and my dream. I begin my journey now with the wary confidence of a young foal. My legs may tremble, but my heart is certain. May you also step out onto the paths of your desires. May your stumbles be the experiences that help drive you onward. May your world expand to include the universes of those surrounding you. May your smile light the path to your heart.
